The Jupiter Ecology Fund aims to achieve long-term capital appreciation together with a growing income consistent with a policy of protecting the environment. Managed by Charlie Thomas since 2003, the Fund has a global remit with the manager focusing on companies which demonstrate a positive commitment to the long-term protection of the environment. The companies Charlie invests in must meet Jupiter’s strict investment and environmental criteria, which includes a range of ethical restrictions. The fund typically has a higher concentration of smaller and medium-sized companies than mainstream global equity indices. This is a natural consequence of the fund’s focus on environmental solutions companies.
